FOIA Request to Town Of Blooming Grove Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Madison Reporter have requested records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., from the Town of Blooming Grove. The request specifically asks for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
We await the response from the Town of Blooming Grove and will continue our efforts in ensuring transparency and accountability in local government affairs.
