The Greater Madison Metropolitan Planning Organization is hosting a webinar aimed at providing guidance for those interested in using buses and bicycles for winter travel. The event, organized by the RoundTrip program, will take place on Wednesday, November 13, from noon to 1 p.m.

Participants will receive insights into planning trips using the new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Madison. The session promises to offer "key tools to help you plan bike and bus trips," as well as information on "features of the new BRT stations and buses." Attendees can also expect advice on how to combine bicycling with bus travel and practical tips for navigating winter conditions.

The panelists include Colleen Hayes, Pedestrian/Bicycle Outreach Specialist from the City of Madison; Chris McCahill, PhD, Managing Director of the State Smart Transportation Initiative; Kai Brito, a student at Madison College; Mary Ebeling, Commuter Solutions Coordinator at UW-Madison Transportation Services; and Uriel Reyes, Transit Outreach Specialist with Metro Transit.

The webinar aims to equip participants with resources for bike and bus commuting. It also highlights an Emergency Ride Home program available for commuters. Those interested are encouraged to register for this informative session titled "Ride & Roll with Ease this Winter: Tips for Planning Trips by Bus and Bike."
