There will be no collections by the Streets Division on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and Friday, November 29, 2024, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The drop-off sites will also remain closed on these dates. However, they will be open during the final weekend hours for 2024 on Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving.

Residents with Wednesday or Thursday trash and recycling collection should have their carts at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. It is important to check your collection schedule calendar to determine if both recycling and trash carts need to be placed out. Late set-outs may not be collected.

For those with Friday or Monday collections, carts should be at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024. As always, checking your schedule for recycling pick-up is advised since late carts might not be serviced.

The Olin Avenue drop-off site will close for winter after December 1, reopening in spring of 2025 on a date yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Sycamore and South Point sites will operate with extended hours until Friday, December 6.

Residents are encouraged to verify drop-off site hours and locations before visiting by checking www.cityofmadison.com/DropOffSites.

To stay informed about changes in collection schedules due to holidays or extreme weather conditions, residents can sign up for email alerts through the Streets Division’s website or via the City of Madison's email list page.
