The City of Madison's Planning Division is reaching out to residents in the Southwest and Southeast areas through a community survey. On January 15, 2025, postcards are being mailed to a randomly selected group of individuals as part of the ongoing area plan process. This initiative has been developed in collaboration with Ph.D. students from UW-Madison's Sociology Department.

Selected participants will receive a postcard with instructions for participating in the voluntary survey. The feedback collected will play a crucial role in shaping plan recommendations that impact neighborhood futures and guide changes in community development and infrastructure improvements. Residents have until February 10 to complete the survey.

The postcards are being distributed to one-third of the population in both the Southwest and Southeast areas, with deliveries expected shortly.
