Rep. Mark Pocan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin's 2nd district, has taken to social media to express his concerns about certain public figures and their actions. Pocan, who has been serving in Congress since 2013 after succeeding Tammy Baldwin, voiced his opinions on Twitter regarding issues involving Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Pocan criticized Elon Musk for allegedly exploiting taxpayers' money. He stated, "@ElonMusk is ripping us off and like millions of Americans across the country, I'm pissed." He further announced his intention to introduce legislation named the ELON MUSK Act aimed at preventing individuals from benefiting financially at the expense of taxpayers.

Later that day, Pocan commented on a statement made by Donald Trump. He remarked that Trump's idea was particularly ill-conceived among many others he had expressed. Pocan tweeted, "Trump has dumb ideas every day, but this might be the dumbest of the dumb things he has said."

In another tweet posted on February 5th, Rep. Pocan raised concerns about privacy issues related to healthcare information under Medicare or Medicaid programs potentially being accessed by Elon Musk. He warned that Musk could influence healthcare decisions based on this information by stating, "Know anyone on Medicare or Medicaid? @ElonMusk is one step closer to accessing your personal information and deciding what healthcare you might be able to get."
