UW Health has announced a collaboration with the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce to encourage local businesses to offer discounts to nurses during National Nurses Week, which takes place from May 6-12, or throughout the entire month of May. This initiative aims to show appreciation for the contributions of nurses in the community.

The partnership provides an opportunity for Chamber member businesses to express gratitude towards nurses who play a crucial role in patient care and community well-being. By offering discounts, businesses can acknowledge the efforts of these healthcare professionals.

Karen Schumacher, RN, Chair-Elect of the UW Health Nursing Recognition Council, expressed her gratitude for this initiative. "We truly appreciate the generosity of local businesses in supporting nurses during Nurses Week. A special discount not only makes us feel valued but also gives us the chance to explore and support the incredible shops, restaurants, and services that make our community unique.
