Alder Nasra Wehelie is set to host her final D7 Lunch and Learn event, offering residents an opportunity to engage with local leadership. The event will feature Interim Police Chief John Patterson and Captain Timothy Patton from the Madison Police Department. This session represents Alder Wehelie's dedication to informing the community about city affairs.
"I have been honored to serve my residents and Madison community and to create opportunities for meaningful dialogue between our government and the public," said Alder Wehelie. She expressed gratitude towards her constituents, city staff, and council members who supported these sessions.
Interim Chief Patterson, who assumed his role in February, will present his vision for the police department. His focus is on strengthening community partnerships, enhancing public safety initiatives, and promoting transparency and accountability.
Captain Timothy Patton will provide insights into recent public safety data specific to Madison's west side. The information shared will include crime statistics and indicators vital for keeping the community informed.
The event will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, allowing attendees to ask questions or provide feedback. Questions can also be submitted in advance to Lorissa Banuelos at lbanuelos@cityofmadison.com.
The Lunch and Learn is scheduled for March 19 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM via Zoom. Registration is encouraged at www.cityofmadison.com/LunchandLearnD7.
