Metro Transit will partner with the City of Madison Transportation Commission to host a public hearing on proposed service modifications affecting Verona. The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at 6 PM, following the Transportation Commission meeting which begins an hour earlier.

The key proposal on the agenda is the D2 Service Extension, which intends to provide all-day service into Verona starting in August 2025. This proposal includes adding Route 75 to Route D2, alongside new paratransit service offerings.

Feedback on these proposals can be submitted through various means. An online form is available, written comments can be mailed to Metro Transit Public Hearing Comments at 1245 E. Washington Ave., Suite 201, Madison, WI 53703, or emailed to mymetrobus@cityofmadison.com. Phone comments can be made by calling (608) 266-4466. Public participation during the hearing itself is also encouraged.

Metro Transit has ensured that both verbal and written comments will be equally considered. All feedback received before the hearing will be evaluated with the same weight as those made during the meeting.

For those requiring language assistance or accommodations, Metro Transit urges contact at least three business days prior to the meeting at (608) 266-4904.
