A new collective bargaining agreement has been approved for Building Trades employees at the Wisconsin State Building Trades Negotiating Committee. This agreement, which impacts campus trades workers, received approval from the Joint Committee on Employee Relations, the state legislature, and Governor Tony Evers.

The agreement provides a 4.12 percent general wage increase effective June 30, 2024. Eligible employees will receive this increase as a lump sum for hours worked from the effective date. Retired employees and those who have died since June 30, 2024, will also receive the adjustment and lump sum.

Employees absent without pay will receive the increase and lump sum for their eligible hours upon returning to work. However, employees who have resigned or been terminated are not eligible for the lump sum payment.
