The City of Madison is set to begin its National Small Business Week with the 2025 Small Business FAM Tour. The event will commence on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway will deliver a welcome address. The tour will then continue with Madison Metro Transit's upgraded zero-emission bus, visiting a selection of seven diverse small businesses.

Organized by the Office of the Common Council in collaboration with the Office of Business Resources and Metro Transit, the tour emphasizes the support available to local small businesses. The event is keen to display innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event will feature Alders/Entrepreneurs Sabrina Madison and Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford, along with Jason Ilstrup, President of Downtown Madison, Inc., as emcees. Their role is to guide attendees through a day that highlights the resilience of the local small business sector, with an agenda including visits to varied locations such as Little Tibet Market and Café and The Hub.

Key figures of the Madison community will participate, emphasizing civic engagement and shared prosperity, as promoted by the Common Council's core values. The event promises an insightful experience into the diverse business landscape of Madison.
