Raye LaFave has been appointed as the Assistant Transportation Manager at MCPASD. LaFave has a long-standing history with the district, having served for nearly 11 years in various roles including school bus driver, CDL trainer, and Department of Transportation Third Party CDL Examiner. Her experience extends beyond the district to neighboring districts and local businesses.
LaFave's career began in the U.S. Navy where she served for six and a half years. Following her military service, she earned a bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is also connected to MCPASD as a parent; two of her three children are graduates of Middleton High School after attending Glacier Creek Middle School.
Three years ago, LaFave was featured in a "Behind the Wheel" video discussing her commitment to student safety through transportation.
“I’m thrilled to take on this new leadership role,” said Raye. “I look forward to continuing to grow the relationships I’ve built with MCPASD staff and families and to forming many new ones in the years ahead.”
The district welcomes LaFave into her new position and acknowledges her contributions and dedication.
