Middleton High School's Special Education Program held an inclusive graduation ceremony on June 3 for the Class of 2025. The event was designed to accommodate students with different sensory needs, offering a more suitable environment than the larger commencement ceremony.

"This was a perfect way to celebrate a successful four years at Middleton High School and send them off to Cardinal Academy in the fall," said Amy Lashuk, a Special Education Teacher at Middleton High School.

Nine students from the special education program received certificates in front of their families, advisory classmates, and Best Buddies participants. Best Buddies is a program aimed at fostering connections between mentors and students with disabilities at the school. Following the ceremony, attendees enjoyed cake and refreshments.

"Families were so grateful for this opportunity," Lashuk added. "It was a perfect end to their great time here at Middleton High School."
