Twenty-five members of Middleton High School's HOSA–Future Health Professionals team attended the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. This annual event is a significant occasion for HOSA members and advisors, offering a platform to compete, learn, and network with peers and healthcare professionals globally.

The students from Middleton High School participated in various activities, including the competitive events program. They demonstrated their knowledge and skills in health science and career readiness while competing against top-performing HOSA members worldwide.

A notable achievement was by Ishika Pulimamidi, a rising junior at Middleton High School, who placed in the top 10 in her Health Informatics event. "Placing in the top 10 was a proud moment!" Pulimamidi said. "HOSA has helped me grow so much and find what I’m passionate about in healthcare."

Besides competing, the attendees participated in career-building workshops, engaged with healthcare professionals, and developed leadership skills essential for future careers in medicine. Diya Chilukuri and Michelle Lee, co-presidents of Middleton's HOSA chapter, stated: "Attending the ILC is an invaluable experience for Middleton HOSA members. It provides them with a place to showcase their talents and also learn from industry experts, network with peers, and gain valuable insights into the field of healthcare."

HOSA-Future Health Professionals plays an important role in preparing students for successful careers in healthcare by providing integrated classroom experiences that enhance personal growth as well as leadership and professional development.
