Nine individuals and one team will be inducted into the Middleton High School Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025, according to an announcement from the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. The group includes coaches Ken Burghy, Tom Cabalka, and Jeff Kind; athletes Casey Cramer, Angie (Halbleib) Murphy, Liz (Reusser) Black, and Danielle (Beckwith) Finley; the 1989 softball team; and supporter Jerry Pulvermacher.

The honorees and their families are scheduled to be recognized at a pregame reception and during halftime at the Cardinals’ homecoming football game on September 19 at the Borden Athletic Complex. Photos and biographies of each inductee will be displayed on the Hall of Fame wall at the stadium.

“We have a strong selection committee – including our Athletic Department, head coaches, community members, and alumni athletes – guiding our efforts to recognize the contributions and achievements of Middleton High School’s top athletes, coaches, teams and supporters,“ said Middleton High School Athletic Director Brad Crandell.

This is the second year that Middleton High School has inducted members into its Athletics Hall of Fame. The inaugural class was selected in September 2024.

“We’re proud to celebrate those who have promoted the growth of our athletics and activities throughout MCPASD’s history,” Crandell said. “The Middleton and Cross Plains communities have been integral to creating Middleton High School’s strong tradition of athletic excellence, and it’s exciting to share our honorees’ stories with the big crowd at our homecoming football game.”

Community members are invited to nominate future inductees. A full list of current honorees for both 2025 and 2024 can be found on the Hall of Fame website.
