There was 1 on-campus robbery in 2017 on the campus of University of Wisconsin-Madison, located in Madison, according to the most recent crime statistics available on the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) website.

In 2016, there was 1 robbery on the campus; and in 2015, there were 2 robberies. Overall, in the three year period from 2015 through 2017, 25 percent of on-campus robberies happened in residence halls.
