As expected, the University of Wisconsin has tapped Bobby Engram as the new offensive coordinator for the Badgers football team.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for me to join a proven program, a consistently successful program, one that I’ve admired for a long time,” Engram said in a university release.
Engram comes to Wisconsin after a stint in the NFL, most recently on the staff of the Baltimore Ravens for eight years. But he said he views the change positively.
“The tradition at Wisconsin is a big deal to me,” he said in the release. “Being able to join a special program, impact our young men and contribute to winning championships is why I’m here.”
Engram said he is happy with the Badgers’ defense and he hopes to raise the offensive level to help the team win the big games.
“Bobby is a great person who has tremendous knowledge of the game,” coach Paul Chryst said in the university announcement. “I’ve seen first-hand the impact he can have on players and there’s no doubt in my mind that he will help our program both on and off the field.”
