A Chick-Fil-A store in Janesville is offering new mothers discharged from Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center-Janesville gift cards for two free sandwiches or Chick-Fil-A nuggets.

The special offer began May 18 and is available to all mothers as they are discharged from Mercyhealth’s birthing center, according to a report by NBC 15.

“Mercyhealth and I have similar goals of supporting our local community,” David Bramlett, restaurant owner and operator, told NBC 15. “We hope this will allow parents the ability to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with their new baby.”

The gift cards, which also include a free milkshake, can be redeemed either at the drive thru or inside the Chick-Fil-A store at 2627 Humes Road, Janesville, according to the news station.

Mercyhealth Maternity Services Director, Brandi Smith, is among those championing Bramlett’s efforts.

“We are thrilled that the Janesville Chick-fil-A is committed to providing all the patients in our birthing center this wonderful gift,” she said. “It really is a testament to David’s passion for making lives better, which goes right along with our mission as a health system.”
