Beginning Monday, August 5, Stevens Street will be closed to through traffic from North Franklin Avenue to Grand Avenue. This is part of the North Franklin Avenue and Stevens Street Resurfacing project that will replace aging and deteriorating utilities for Stevens Street and North Franklin Avenue next year. The North Franklin Avenue sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water main will be replaced. The Stevens Street sanitary main and laterals, and storm sewer main and inlets will be replaced. For both North Franklin Avenue and Stevens Street there will be a replacement of gravel base and asphalt with spot replacement of curb, sidewalk, and driveway aprons.
Project Limits:
- Stevens Street – North Franklin Avenue to Grand Avenue
- North Franklin Avenue – University Avenue to Regent Street
Project Schedule:
- Stevens Street: Construction to start Monday, August 5
- North Franklin Avenue: Bid Advertisement: To be determined; Construction: Spring/Summer 2025
