Madison Marathon street closures planned for November 10

The Madison Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, November 10, with races starting at 7:00 a.m. from the Capitol. Participants will traverse through various locations including the UW Arboretum, Vilas Park, around Lake Monona, and return to the Capitol. The event is expected to conclude by approximately 1:30 p.m.

Police officers will be stationed along the course to manage traffic and ensure safety. Motorists are advised to plan their travel in advance as crossing the race route will only be allowed when there are adequate gaps between runners.

Start times for different events have been announced: full marathon and half marathon participants will commence at 7:00 a.m., while those participating in the 10K will start at 7:15 a.m.
