Intersection closure announced for MLK Jr Blvd and Doty St starting October 3

Starting Thursday, October 3, R.G. Huston will continue concrete pavement restoration at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Doty Street.

During work hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., no southbound vehicles will have access to continue along Martin Luther King past Doty Street. Vehicles will be allowed to turn left onto Doty Street. Vehicles traveling north on Martin Luther King will not be allowed access to Doty Street and will need to make a U-turn and return to Wilson Street. Vehicles traveling along Doty Street will be shifted into one lane and able to continue east or make a left turn onto Martin Luther King.

After work hours, after 3 p.m., vehicles traveling south on Martin Luther King will be able to continue past Doty Street or make a left turn. Vehicles traveling north on Martin Luther King will be able to continue past Doty Street or make a right turn. Vehicles traveling along Doty Street will be able to make a left, continue straight, or make a right turn.

Work is expected to be completed on Monday, October 7.
