The Madison City Clerk’s Office has distributed over 67,000 absentee ballots for the upcoming General Election on November 5. Of these, more than 58,000 have been returned and are ready to be counted.

To help voters ensure their absentee ballots have been received by the Clerk’s Office, a tracking system is available. Voters can verify the status of their ballots by visiting https://MyVote.wi.gov. The process involves clicking on the "Track My Ballot" tile, entering personal details such as name and date of birth, and then checking under "My Absentee Status" for confirmation that the ballot has been received.

Absentee ballots remain sealed until they are officially checked into the poll book at polling stations on Election Day.

"The goal of the City Clerk’s Office is that each eligible voter will be able to cast a ballot and have that ballot counted."
