Rep. Mark Pocan, a current U.S. Congress member representing Wisconsin's 2nd district, shared his views on several political issues through a series of tweets on January 21, 2025. His posts addressed topics ranging from the influence of corporate money in politics to actions taken by former President Trump that he believes could negatively impact Americans.

On January 21, 2025, Pocan criticized the impact of the Citizens United decision on American democracy. He stated: "15 years ago, Citizens United turned our democracy into an auction. Our government is supposed to be of the people, by the people, and for the people — not corporations and billionaire elites. We must #EndCitizensUnited and put the American people back in charge."

Later that day, Pocan commented on pardons issued by Donald Trump during his presidency. He tweeted: "On his first day in office, Trump pardoned more than 1,500 people convicted for (among other reasons) brutally assaulting police officers on January 6th. So much for law and order."

In another tweet posted on January 21st, Pocan criticized executive orders signed by Trump that he claims will harm everyday Americans. He expressed concern over a specific order affecting prescription drug costs: "Last night, Trump signed a number of executive orders that will hurt hardworking, everyday Americans. One that’s not getting as much attention will cut programs trying to reduce prescription drug costs. Big Pharma got just what they wanted."
