Mark Pocan, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin's 2nd district since 2013, has been active on social media discussing recent political events and activities. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Pocan graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1986 and has had a long career in public service.

On January 29, 2025, Pocan expressed support for "@GovEvers and @WisDOJ who are joining a coalition of states to sue the Trump Administration for illegally withholding federal funding (a.k.a. your tax dollars) to communities across America." He emphasized that such legal action is necessary.

Later that day, Pocan announced his engagement with constituents by reminding them about an upcoming town hall meeting. He stated on Twitter at 18:36 UTC, "My town hall is TODAY. See you soon!"

In another tweet posted at 21:44 UTC, Pocan commented on changes in policy direction regarding healthcare and law enforcement funding under former President Trump's administration. He noted that efforts to cut healthcare for millions were being reversed, stating, "This is what happens when we make our voices heard!"
