Madison College's Culinary Program students are set to present their culinary skills at a special five-course harvest dinner. The event aims to benefit REAP Food Group's local food projects and will feature ingredients sourced from Wisconsin.
Scheduled for Thursday, February 6, the dinner will take place from 6-9 p.m. at Madison College's Diane’s Delicious Diner, located at 1705 Wright St. Tickets are priced at $125 per person, including both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage pairings.
Attendees will have the opportunity to join local chefs, growers, and culinary students in celebrating food preservation through various tastings. The menu includes dishes such as pozole verde with escabeche, roasted cauliflower with pomodoro sauce, pork kielbasa with sauerkraut, and pumpkin custard tart topped with cultured cream.
The funds raised during this event will contribute to REAP’s mission of supporting communities and economies through a healthy local food system.
Students from Madison College Culinary Arts are committed to pursuing careers as executive chefs and general managers within the $400 billion food and restaurant industry. Their associate degree program is structured not only for education but also to prepare them for the practical demands of a dynamic culinary environment.
