The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison (RMHC-Madison) has announced the launch of its "Room for Comfort" campaign. This initiative aims to fund 2,000 hotel night stays for families in need throughout 2025. Alongside accommodation, RMHC-Madison continues to provide essential services such as meals, transportation support, and emotional and peer support.
In 2024, RMHC-Madison recorded an occupancy rate exceeding 110%, with nearly 1,979 hotel night stays provided. The demand for these services often surpasses available resources. Thanks to partnerships with local hotels, RMHC-Madison can offer families a "Room for Comfort," whether at their facility or in nearby hotels.
Stephanie Hayden, Chief Executive Officer of RMHC-Madison, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Every family deserves to be close to their child, especially when they are receiving medical treatment. With your help, we can make sure no family is left without a ‘Room for Comfort.’”
The campaign has received significant support from several donors including Exact Sciences as a major lead donor; Raymond Management Company as a lead donor; and Numbers 4 Nonprofits as a small business lead donor.
Community members are encouraged to contribute financially or by raising awareness through social media using #RoomForComfort. More information about the campaign and donation options can be found on the RMHC-Madison website.
