Jacob Fischer has been appointed as the new director of communications and marketing at Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), the united state chamber and manufacturers' association. Fischer will be joining WMC's efforts in strategic communications, media relations, and rapid response.

"WMC’s president and CEO, Kurt Bauer, expressed enthusiasm about Fischer’s appointment. “Jacob is a great fit for WMC,” said Bauer. "His strategic communications experience and vision will be invaluable as we continue our efforts to make Wisconsin the most business-friendly state."

Fischer's previous roles include serving on Congressman Bryan Steil’s staff from 2022 to 2023, after which he joined the Republican National Committee (RNC). At the RNC, he served as Press Secretary for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and subsequently as Wisconsin Communications Director through the presidential election of the same year. Most recently, Fischer worked as Judge Brad Schimel’s communications director for his 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign.

In his own statement, Fischer communicated his enthusiasm about joining WMC. “I’m honored and excited to join WMC’s brilliant team,” he said. “WMC plays a vital role in supporting and advancing Wisconsin’s business community. I look forward to helping share the stories, successes, and impact of our state’s incredible manufacturers and job creators.”

Fischer is a native of Wisconsin and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
