Madison College will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Friday, September 19, to introduce its new dental clinic at the Truax campus. The event is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., with the ribbon cutting set for 2 p.m. at the Health Education Building Atrium grand staircase.

The newly completed 3,500-square-foot facility supports both the Dental Assistant and Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) Program. This expansion comes as Madison College launches its EFDA program this fall, designed to address workforce needs in the dental industry and help support economic growth in the sector.

The clinic features updated equipment, including 15 computer-equipped dental chairs, a sterilization center, and modern learning spaces with enhanced technology. These additions are intended to provide students with advanced skills required in current dental practices.

Funding for the project includes a $1.43 million grant from the Expanded Oral Health Program and a $143,000 contribution from Delta Dental.

The open house will include remarks by Madison College President Dr. Jennifer Berne and leaders from the dental industry. Attendees can participate in guided tours of the new space, view live demonstrations, and enjoy refreshments.

Further information about Madison College’s Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary Certificate program is available through their official channels.
