Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, R.G Huston will commence construction on the Lake Street Sanitary Replacement Project. This project begins on the south side of University Ave at N. Lake St and extends north to 441 N. Lake St.
The City of Madison Parking Division will increase the event rate in city-owned parking garages effective July 1, 2024. The event rate was last increased from $5 to $8 in 2016. These increases are necessary to maintain facilities, improve the level of service offered, and ensure safe and comfortable parking structures for all. They also address increased operating costs, help balance system demand, and encourage other modes of transportation.
Starting on Monday, June 24, Parisi Construction will close a section of Valley View Road, from South Point Road to just past Lone Oak Lane, to continue progress on the 1000 Oaks project. This full excavation closure is expected to last several weeks, with roads anticipated to reopen in early August. While the bike lanes will close for the duration of this closure, access to the south side sidewalk will remain open.
