The UW Madison's women's volleyball team is off to a successful beginning to their season as a crowd of students cheered them on.

The team continues their perfect season record of 6-0 after defeating Marquette’s Golden Eagles on Sept. 12, according to Bucky's 5th Quarter

The team’s 3-0 set sweep was partly thanks to junior Izzy Ashburn and her serving prowess, according to Bucky's 5th Quarter.

"Fifteen hundred students in the Field House bringing the noise tonight! The loudest I’ve ever heard them," volleyball coach Kelly Sheffield posted on Twitter. "@UWMadison students are fired up to get this semester started!!! See you tomorrow! @AreaRED @TheMadHouseUW"

There were plenty of highlights tweeted after the game showing the girls celebrating and cheering each other on, according to Bucky's 5th Quarter.

"Just getting done what we need to get done at the moment," Wisconsin Volleyball posted on Twitter

The final score was 25-18 as the team took the win.

Bucky's 5th Quarter said that it was the lowest hitting percentage for the Badgers in the season so far but it "never looked like a match Wisconsin was going to lose."

In total, UW Madison's women's volleyball historically has seven Big Ten Championships, four NCAA Final Fours and 24 NCAA Tournament appearances.
