Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin was among those reveling in the festivities of homecoming weekend at UW-Madison.

“Welcome home UWMadison alumni,” Baldwin tweeted in the midst of all the celebration. “Hope everyone is having a great homecoming weekend for the Badger football game.”

In the buildup to the game, star running back Montee Ball also had a hand in the festivities, appearing at the homecoming pep rally, along with women’s basketball coach Marisa Moseley and performers from the UW Marching Band.

In the end, it was all enough to help propel the Badgers to a 27-7 over No. 9 Iowa at Camp Randall Stadium.

Sophomore tight end Clay Cundiff suffered a right leg injury during the game and was transported to UW Hospital for evaluation. He’s since been released from the hospital with no timeline known for his return.

“Appreciate all the thoughts and prayers,” Cundiff posted on Twitter.

In another tweet, school officials added “we wish Cundiff a healthy and speedy recovery and hope to see him don the Cardinal and White as soon as he’s able.”
