Cottage Grove Village - WI issued the following announcement on Nov. 1
The Village of Cottage Grove is proud to partner with Dane County and other area communities in kicking off the Adopt-A-Storm Drain program. As most people are aware, water that drains into and through our stormwater system ultimately ends up in area lakes, rivers and streams. We can all do our part to ensure that only clean water is making its way through the system. Adopting a storm drain is a great way to be a part of making a big impact! The timing of this roll-out is perfect as we watch the leaves begin to fall; phosphorus that leaches from leaves is a major contributor to toxic algal blooms in our area lakes.
Get your friends, book club, church group, or family together and Adopt-A-Storm Drain, have some fun naming it and share your experiences to encourage others to follow your lead!
