Can I Vote Early?
Clerk’s Office Absentee Voting
Clerk’s Office absentee voting will begin March 21st through March 31st during office hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 1st. Electors will need to show a valid photo ID to be issued a ballot.
Absentee Ballot by Mail
You can request to have an absentee ballot mailed by visiting MyVote.wi.gov/VoteAbsentee. You can upload your photo ID to the site and your request will be forwarded directly to the Municipal Clerk.
Additionally you may also make a request for an absentee ballot by mail to Village Clerk, 5915 Milwaukee St, McFarland WI 53558 or email Village Administration. Your request must include your name, your voting address, the address where you would like the ballot mailed, and an indication that you are requesting a ballot for the April 5, 2022 Election. A copy of your photo ID must also be included if it is not already on file.
Valid requests for an absentee ballot by mail will be filled within 1 business day. Electors may request to receive a ballot by mail up until Thursday, March 31st at 5 p.m.
What do I need to bring on Election Day?
On Election Day, voters must provide valid photo IDs before they can cast a ballot. The most common forms of photo ID include:
- Wisconsin Driver License, unexpired or expired after November 3, 2020
- Wisconsin State ID Card, unexpired or expired after November 3, 2020
- Military ID Card, unexpired or expired after November 3, 2020
- U.S. Passport Book or Card, unexpired or expired after November 3, 2020
*Your photo ID does not need to include a current address.
*If you do not have a photo ID, a free ID can be obtained from your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). For more information call 844-588-1069 or visit the Wisconsin DMV website.
Check Your Voter Registration Status Prior to the 2022 Election Cycle!
Village Residents are encouraged to check their voter registration status online and if necessary, register to vote in advance of Election Day. Registering in advance saves a lot of time on Election Day for you and it gets everyone in and out much faster on Election Day. If your Wisconsin Driver’s license or Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) issued ID is unexpired and contains your current address, you can register to vote quickly and easily online in under five minutes with nothing to sign or mail.
