City of Madison issued the following announcement on June 14.

On 06/14/22 at about 2:19am, McFarland officers were dispatched to Byrne’s McFarland Tavern at 5915 Exchange Street for a disturbance outside between two females and a male. The bartender said that another male subject had pulled a firearm on the male involved in the disturbance. Officers from the McFarland PD arrived and contacted everyone who was involved in the situation. The disturbance was no longer in progress. After interviewing witness and others involved in the situation, officers determined that the male had pointed a loaded handgun at another male patron who was trying to intervene in the original disturbance. Johnte L. Isabell, 28 of Middleton, was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail for going armed while intoxicated, pointing a firearm at a person, and second degree recklessly endangering safety. The loaded firearm was recovered on scene, and no one was injured because of the disturbance.
