In-person absentee voting for the April 2 Spring Election has commenced in Wisconsin, with various locations available for voters to cast their ballots ahead of the election day. Absentee voters are reminded to bring along an acceptable photo ID for voting in Wisconsin.

Mayor Rhodes-Conway highlighted the convenience of utilizing local public libraries for early in-person absentee voting, stating, “It’s easy, you can avoid lines at the polls on election day, and you can even check out a book while you’re there!”

The City Clerk’s Office has provided a list of times and locations where absentee voting will take place, including libraries, community centers, churches, and other venues throughout the city. Some of the locations include the Alicia Ashman Library, Central Library, Goodman South Madison Library, and others, with varying weekday and weekend hours to accommodate voters' schedules.

The City Clerk’s Office has emphasized its goal for the upcoming election, stating that they aim for each eligible voter to be able to cast a ballot and have that ballot count. Voters are also reminded that they may register or update their registration at the absentee voting sites by providing proof of address.

As the early voting period progresses, eligible voters are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of time at the designated locations to ensure their voices are heard in the April 2 Spring Election.
