There was a single gas station in cities across Dane County selling diesel at the lowest price of $3.79 per gallon in the week ending Apr. 13, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of diesel in cities within Dane County was $3.89 per gallon.

Of the 27 gas stations in cities within Dane County, two offer diesel.

The $3.78 average price of diesel in Wisconsin was unchanged from the previous week.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year's end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
