Dr. Jan Chynoweth has been appointed as the new Director of Secondary Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment at the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD). Dr. Chynoweth brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to educational excellence to her new role.

Throughout her 26-year career in public education, Dr. Chynoweth has held several key positions, including Assistant Director of Student Services in Madison, Student Services Coordinator in Sun Prairie, and Assistant Principal in Monona Grove School District. Her diverse experience and dedication to fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment are seen as assets for leading MCPASD's secondary curriculum.

Dr. Chynoweth holds a PhD in Educational Leadership, an MS in Educational Administration, and an MS in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. This academic background is expected to guide the district's efforts to provide high-quality educational experiences for its students.
