Award-winning author Susanna Daniel to speak at Madison College lecture series

Susanna Daniel, the author known for her novel "Stiltsville," will be speaking at Madison College's Writer’s Life Lecture Series on October 8. Her debut work, "Stiltsville" (2010), has been recognized for its detailed portrayal of Miami life and the stilt houses in Biscayne Bay. The novel earned the 2011 PEN/Bingham Prize for debut fiction. Daniel's subsequent novel, "Sea Creatures" (2013), also delves into themes of relationships, family dynamics, and survival.

The Writer’s Life Lecture Series at Madison College allows professional writers to discuss their experiences and insights. This series provides an inside look at the lives and work of various accomplished individuals including writers, poets, screenwriters, investigative journalists, copywriters, and writers for animation.

The event is scheduled for October 8 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Madison College Truax Campus located at 1703 Wright St., Room A2031. For more information, interested parties can contact the Office of Student Life at (608) 246-6100.
