The University of Wisconsin–Madison is participating in the annual Partners in Giving (PinG) campaign this fall. This initiative, formally known as the State, University and UW Health Employees Combined Campaign of Dane, Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, aims to promote community service and generosity within the campus culture. Since its inception in 1973, PinG has raised over $89 million for charitable donations.
This year marks a significant change as Milwaukee and Waukesha counties join the campaign. The inclusion now encompasses staff from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, streamlining operations across the state. Donors can now contribute to two new umbrella organizations: United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County and the United Performing Arts Fund.
The theme for this year's campaign is "Together We Do More," emphasizing collective efforts to make a difference in communities. Participants have the option to direct their contributions to preferred organizations among 11 major umbrella groups that include over 500 individual charities.
The active phase of the campaign runs from October 7 through December 3, with giving options available until May 15, 2025. Contributions can be made online or via mail. Additionally, Virtual Charity Lunch and Learns will occur weekly throughout the fall to inform donors about various causes supported by their contributions.
Charles Isbell, Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, along with Rob Cramer, Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration expressed excitement about this year's campaign stating: “Through your continued generosity and support, ‘Together we do more!’”
