Absentee voting for the November 5 General Election is nearing its end. Voters should take note of several important deadlines:
Friday, November 1, marks the last day for late voter registration at in-person absentee voting sites. There will be no voter registration on the Saturday, Sunday, or Monday preceding Election Day. However, voters can register at the polls on Tuesday.
Sunday, November 3, is the final opportunity for in-person absentee voting.
Monday, November 4, is the deadline to use one of the secure ballot drop boxes located near Madison's fire stations. These drop boxes will be locked at 5 p.m. on Monday.
Absentee ballots must reach the voter's polling location before the polls close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Postmarks are not considered valid.
The City of Madison Clerk’s Office advises voters to verify their registration and track their absentee ballot through https://MyVote.wi.gov.
"The goal of the City Clerk’s Office is that each eligible voter will be able to cast a ballot and have that ballot counted."
