Starting November 19, R.G. Huston will proceed with concrete pavement restoration at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Doty Street. The project will unfold in two phases.

In Phase 1, commencing on November 19, southbound vehicles will not be able to continue past Doty Street on Martin Luther King but can turn left onto Doty Street. Northbound vehicles on Martin Luther King will not have access to Doty Street and must make a U-turn back to Wilson Street. Traffic on Doty Street will shift into one lane, allowing eastward travel or a left turn onto Martin Luther King, while right turns from Doty Street onto Martin Luther King are prohibited. Metro Transit bus service at the stop located at 10 E. Doty Street will remain unaffected. This phase is expected to conclude by November 25.

Phase 2 begins on November 26. During this phase, northbound traffic on Martin Luther King cannot continue past Doty Street but may turn right onto it. Southbound traffic on Martin Luther King will also lack access to Doty Street and must U-turn back to Main Street. Vehicles traveling along Doty Street will use two lanes and can either continue east or make a right turn onto Martin Luther King; left turns from Doty Street onto Martin Luther King are disallowed. As in Phase 1, the Metro Transit bus stop at 10 E. Doty Street will experience no disruptions. This phase should be completed by November 29.

Further information about the Wilson Street and Doty Street Reconstruction Project is available.
