Alder Nasra Wehelie will continue her Lunch and Learn series this month with a session focused on traffic engineering. The virtual event is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, from 12 to 1 p.m. It aims to provide insights into traffic safety and infrastructure planning for all road users, including drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Dr. Yang Tao, Director of Traffic Engineering, will be the featured speaker. He will discuss Vision Zero, a strategy aimed at eliminating traffic fatalities and severe injuries while promoting safe and equitable mobility. Dr. Tao will also cover various projects planned for District 7.
The session includes a presentation by Dr. Tao followed by an interactive Q&A segment. Participants can ask questions or give feedback either verbally or through the chat box during the event.
