The on-site Employee Wellness Clinic of the district is central to providing accessible and quality care for staff and their families. The clinic maintains a 90% fill rate for its behavioral health coach and clinical providers, resulting in nearly $800,000 in annual claims avoidance savings. All patients have rated their visits as "good" or "very good."

SPASD's Wellness Department offers various programs to support employees both personally and professionally. These include monthly challenges focusing on different wellness aspects, free weekly classes like water aerobics, and exclusive access to platforms such as Headspace for mindfulness and ELEVATE for financial wellness. Special events such as bouquet-making, charcuterie workshops, and pumpkin painting are also part of the initiatives. Additionally, the REALiving Employee Achievement Program provides free counseling, coaching sessions, webinars, and resources.

In September 2024, SPASD received the Platinum Award from the Wellness Council of America for the second time. This award positions SPASD among the nation's healthiest workplaces as one of only nine organizations nationwide to receive this honor.

Wellness Coordinator Karyn Richmond along with SPASD leaders will present innovative strategies for workplace wellness at the National Association of School Superintendents conference in March 2025.

SPASD remains committed to setting standards in creating healthy workplaces through its forward-thinking approach.
