The University of Wisconsin–Madison's Strategic Visioning Committee has completed a month-long feedback process and is prepared to advance with the next stages of their strategic planning. Provost Charles Isbell, Jr. and Lauren Papp, associate dean for research in the School of Human Ecology, issued a message to the faculty, staff, and limited appointees on May 2, 2025.

"Throughout April, the Strategic Visioning Committee has been gathering campus feedback on the draft initial concepts we developed to inform recommendations to Chancellor Mnookin for the university’s next strategic framework," they explained. The committee sought contributions from both students and employees through a survey and community discussions, forming a vision for the university's future.

The committee expressed gratitude for the active involvement of the university community, stating, "Now that those engagement opportunities are complete, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who actively participated in this process." They emphasized the importance of engagement for shaping a future vision, focusing on the expertise and creativity characterizing UW–Madison.

With feedback sessions concluded, the Visioning Committee is set to present initial concepts to Chancellor Mnookin. This presentation will include feedback summaries and considerations, providing a foundation for the ongoing development of the university's strategic framework.

As progress continues, regular updates will be provided to the campus community, affirming the shared mission of realizing UW–Madison's strategic goals. "Thank you again for engaging in this strategic visioning process with us," the message concluded, highlighting the creation of a transformative vision.
