The path to college is sometimes filled with detours

Webp college5

Madison Area Technical College issued the following announcement on Jan.11.

Camilla Jones always dreamed of being a teacher. But somehow life got in the way.

Jones told Channel 47 she attended Madison College right after high school, but realized the timing wasn't right. "I wasn't ready for it to be honest," Jones told the TV station.

Fast forward and Jones is now a cosmetologist with three children. So, what about that dream of becoming a teacher? It's coming true, thanks to a Madison College Foundation scholarship.

"Madison College really is a place for second chances," said Foundation Vice President Maggie Porter Kratz.
