Madison Area Technical College partners with Arizona State University for seamless student transfers

Madison Area Technical College has announced a new alliance with Arizona State University to provide students a seamless transfer experience through the MyPath2ASU® program.

The MyPath2ASU customized tools, available to Madison College transfer students, aim to ensure a smooth transition to ASU after earning credits or an associate degree and expedite the time to degree completion.

“Madison College’s partnership with ASU provides students with a clear path to successfully transfer and graduate from both institutions, ensuring a high-quality education and creating opportunities for rewarding careers,” said Madison College Provost Beth Giles-Klinkner.

This partnership simplifies the transfer process for students using MyPath2ASU. Key benefits include:

- Personalized guidance through over 400 course-by-course guided pathways to ASU online and in-person degree programs, ensuring that Madison Area Technical College coursework aligns with their desired ASU major and minimizes credit loss.

- Guaranteed general admission to ASU and admission into the MyPath2ASU major choice if all requirements are met.

- Self-service degree progress tracking to help students stay informed about their academic progress.

- A connected experience with ASU through personalized communications that support academic growth and community engagement.

Madison Area Technical College and ASU will continuously collaborate to refine the more than 400 course-by-course pathways offered in the MyPath2ASU tool. This ongoing collaboration aims to provide clear guidance on course selection while aligning with the latest academic standards and requirements. Some of the in-demand pathways offered through this program include:

- Interdisciplinary Studies, BA

- Liberal Studies, BA

- Organizational Leadership, BA

Madison College has partnership agreements with more than 50 accredited four-year institutions, including UW-Madison. Over 4,000 students from Madison College have transferred to 793 different four-year colleges and universities. Madison College has the lowest tuition among eight area colleges, enabling students to graduate with less debt. Additionally, its technical programs pave the way toward a bachelor’s degree.
