The Streets and Urban Forestry Division has launched a newly redesigned website, introducing three significant features aimed at benefiting Madison residents.

In the Urban Forestry section, users can access a comprehensive Street Tree Inventory. This feature provides a map displaying tens of thousands of trees along public streets in Madison. Residents can learn about the species and benefits of these trees, including those located in front of their homes.

Additionally, the new site includes an Online Recyclopedia for easy material lookup. This tool helps residents determine how to dispose of various materials by offering clear guidance on whether items should be recycled, trashed, or handled with special disposal rules. The Recyclopedia will continue to expand as more items are added to enhance its usefulness.

Another feature is the Simple Schedule Lookup. It allows residents to easily find their trash and recycling schedules as well as brush and yard waste set-out dates by entering their address into a single line on the website.

Residents are encouraged to provide feedback on the new site. Any issues or suggestions for improvement can be reported via feedback forms at the bottom of each page, email at streets@cityofmadison.com, or phone calls to 608-246-4532 or 608-266-4681.
