The Middleton High School Girls Swim & Dive Team was honored for their consecutive state championships and undefeated season. This marks their fifth state title since the 2016-2017 season. Their coaching staff includes RJ Leiferman, Cyndie Zocher, Andrew Cotton, Emily Keebler, and Mike Keleny.
The Boys Soccer Team celebrated a second consecutive Division 1 State Championship. They are the first public school to achieve this feat since 1988. Coaches include Kevin Pauls, Brian Zimdars, Bill Karls, Barret Van Sicklen, Kevin Thusius, Israel Muchacho Moreno, Ben Mertens, Cian Carlson, Mary Duffy, Keith Poniewaz, and Kayla Zimdars.
The Boys Volleyball Team finished as State Runner-Up after defending their previous state title. Coaches include Dylan Griffith and others.
Jim Coursey was appointed as the new board member for Area IV until the April election. He will be sworn in at the next board meeting on December 16th.
Superintendent Dr. Dana Monogue reported on successful events like "Beauty and the Beast" by MHS Theater Department and a fundraising event that raised $61,000 for district programs.
A report presented by Dr. Barb Buffington and Sherry Smith showed fewer staff leave requests in fall 2024 compared to 2023. EDUStaff manages substitutes with an overall fill rate of 80%.
