Stoughton Health has been recognized for its significant contributions to community welfare, as detailed in the Wisconsin Hospital Association's (WHA) annual Community Benefits Report. The report highlights that Stoughton Health provided $4,490,874 in community benefits and charity care during the fiscal year 2023. This contribution underscores the hospital's dedication to improving the health and well-being of its community.

One key initiative featured in WHA’s 2024 Community Benefits Report is Stoughton Health's free Hands-Only CPR (COCPR) training program. This project aims to equip residents with essential life-saving skills, thereby enhancing public safety and fostering a sense of preparedness among participants.

Class participant Bonnie Weidner shared her experience, stating, “I feel confident now that I can truly make a difference in an emergency. It is empowering to know that I could potentially save a life. I shared what I learned with my neighbors and friends and encouraged them to take the class as well. We joked that we can now be each other’s superheroes!”

The next COCPR training session is set for April 22, with registration open at www.stoughtonhealth.com/events/. Through such programs, Stoughton Health continues to positively impact the lives of those it serves by investing in local well-being initiatives.
