UW Health is set to enhance primary care services in south central Wisconsin with the opening of a new family medicine clinic in Janesville. The UW Health Janesville Clinic, located at 500 Midland Court, will begin operations on Tuesday, February 25. It will feature three primary care providers—one physician and two advanced practice providers—alongside nursing and laboratory staff.
The facility spans 9,900 square feet and will provide both adult and pediatric primary care services. These include preventive, acute, and chronic disease management care, immunizations, vaccinations, care coordination, annual physicals, sports physicals, and wellness services. Additionally, laboratory services and medical imaging will be available on-site.
Alicia Rizzo, director of ambulatory operations at UW Health, highlighted the significance of the clinic's opening amid increasing demand for quality healthcare in the region. "This new clinic strengthens our commitment to delivering remarkable care to our communities," she stated. "This convenient location and enhanced care coordination ensures that patients have access to the highest quality care."
The construction team employed a segmented wall panel system to convert a former commercial office space into exam rooms, procedure rooms, and diagnostic areas. This innovative design allows walls and fixtures within the clinic to be unmounted and reinstalled as needed for future requirements. Mike McKay, director of planning design and construction at UW Health, noted that this is the first UW Health clinic built with such a design approach. "This innovative approach serves as a pilot for how to quickly build flexible and efficient health care spaces in regions where patient demand is growing," he said.
The UW Health Janesville Clinic will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with appointments available via MyChart or by calling (608) 916-2600.
