The public is being invited to vote on the names for Madison's and Wisconsin's first electric trash collection vehicles. The voting process is hosted on the Wisconsin Clean Cities website and will conclude on October 21, 2024, at 4:00 pm.

Participants can choose from a variety of name options. Some suggestions include names honoring former Wisconsin Badger football players JJ Watt and TJ Watt or legendary Milwaukee Brewers announcer Bob Uecker. Other potential names reflect Madison's music scene or humorous references like Trucky McTruckface.

Voting is conducted through a ranked choice system where participants select their top five favorite names for each truck. The election is open to everyone, encouraging community involvement in this initiative.

Wisconsin Clean Cities, a non-profit organization founded in 1994, supports alternative fuels and sustainable vehicle technology as part of the US Department of Energy Clean City coalitions. More information about the trucks is available on the Streets Division’s website.
